THE SMOKING BBQ

The Smoking BBQ was an idea I had when i found it hard to find specific smoking recipes and techniques for the UK climate and meat products. I often found most sites were based where the weather was much warmer which when following the techniques gave me too low a cooking temperatures coupled with the different meat and briquettes/charcoal on offer I found myself doing my own experimentations to get the perfect smoked meats.

 

I have since found what i think are the best cuts of meat and im still introducing new rubs and marinades, gradually these recipes and more will find there way onto this site. To start with I thought it was right to cover areas that i struggled with to help out fellow 'Smokers' and 'BBQers' on their quest for the perfect smoked brisket or a pull-able pulled pork. Along the way I have included some of my favorite BBQ recipes, and added a handy guide to techniques for maintaining temperature and what briquettes/charcoal to use.

 

Browsing through the site you will find I am a keen Weber fan, almost all of my gear is from Weber and my techniques are based on their products, they will probably work on other brands as long as they don't use gas.
